Answer: To sign up as a vendor, click on the "Join Today & Start Selling" button on our homepage. Choose the vendor option, fill in the required details, and set up your shop profile. Once approved, you can start listing your products.
2. What types of materials can I list on Surplus?
Answer: You can list a wide range of building and plumbing materials, including leftover materials from projects, reclaimed items, rare parts, and more. Just ensure that the products are in good condition and legal to sell.
3. How does the payment process work?
Answer: When a customer purchases your product, the payment is securely processed and held by Surplus Building & Plumbing Materials Ltd. After the customer confirms receipt of the goods, we transfer the sale amount to your account, minus our 10% commission. VAT will be charged on the commission and if you are VAT registered you will be able to reclaim it.
4. Can I set my own delivery options and charges?
Answer: Yes, vendors can set their own delivery areas, types, and charges. You can also offer the option for customers to collect the items from your location if preferred.
5. What should I do if there is an issue with a sale or delivery?
Answer: If there is an issue with a sale or delivery, customers should first contact the vendor directly to resolve the matter. If the issue cannot be resolved between the customer and the vendor, please contact our support team for further assistance.
